Privacy settings
Manage optional analytics for this browser. You can change your choice at any time.
Weather and location
Location searches and coordinates are sent through Rain or Shine to Open-Meteo to retrieve weather. Your browser shares your current location only when you choose that option and grant permission.
Saved on your device
Your last location, preferences, optional dog profile, recent weather, privacy choice, and limited campaign information may be saved in your browser. Clear this site’s browser data to remove them.
Analytics
Netlify also measures page loading, responsiveness, and layout stability to help us improve site performance. This performance measurement is separate from Google Analytics and Simple Analytics.
Rain or Shine uses Simple Analytics for basic, privacy-friendly measurement. It reports page visits, referral sources, broad device and browser categories, language, country-level estimates based on time zone, and limited feature interactions. Simple Analytics does not set cookies or other identifiers on your device, store IP addresses, or track you across websites. Learn what Simple Analytics collects.
Limited feature events use fixed categories rather than personal values. Rain or Shine does not send location searches, coordinates, dog-profile selections, feedback text, full destination URLs, or user or session identifiers with these events. Simple Analytics also counts whether an optional analytics prompt was shown and whether optional analytics were allowed or declined; the choice count is not linked to a person or tracked across websites.
Rain or Shine may also use Google Analytics. Outside regions where stricter consent rules commonly apply (for example, the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), Google Analytics may load by default. In those stricter regions, Rain or Shine shows a prompt and loads Google Analytics only after you select “Allow analytics.” Google Analytics measures page visits and limited feature use and receives approximate location and general browser and device information. It uses first-party _ga cookies to distinguish users and sessions. These cookies default to lasting up to two years, subject to browser limits.
Rain or Shine sends Google Analytics normalized page paths without search parameters and does not send location searches, precise coordinates, dog names, feedback content, or raw advertising click identifiers. Your browser still sends an IP address to Google, which Google says it uses in part to derive approximate location. Rain or Shine disables Google Signals, advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
You can turn optional Google Analytics off or on at any time in Privacy settings. Turning it off disables Google Analytics and removes its accessible cookies from this site. Region detection for the initial prompt uses an approximate browser time-zone check and is not a guarantee of legal compliance.
Feedback
If you send feedback, Netlify stores the name, email, and message you provide so it can be reviewed and answered. Do not include sensitive information.
